Privacy policy

Silver Peaks Enterprises ("we") runs HardHat Path. We collect only what the site needs to work, we don't sell your data, and we don't run ads.
What we collect
- Account: your email address, and when you agreed to these terms.
- What you save: your tracker (programs, stages, ranks, dates, to-dos), the programs you want alerts for, and your newsletter choice.
- Practice: scores from tests you take while signed in. Interview answers are sent to our AI provider to be scored; we don't store the answer text.
- Results you report: local, interview score, rank and outcome. Published only as anonymous totals.
- Payments: which pass you bought, the amount, date and Razorpay reference. We never receive your full card number.
- Technical: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept briefly for security and debugging.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. They can't be read by page scripts. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If you use the tracker without an account, it's stored in your browser on that device.
Why we use it
To run your account and the features you use, send the emails you asked for, process payments and refunds, keep the site secure, and improve the data and practice material.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase: Database and sign-in (servers in the US)
- Razorpay: Payments. Card details go to Razorpay, not to us
- OpenAI: Scores interview answers you submit for AI feedback
- Brevo: Sends sign-in codes and alert emails
- Cloudflare: Hosting, security and bot checks
They process data only to provide their service to us. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising, as those terms are used in California and other US state privacy laws.
How long we keep it
Account data stays until you delete your account. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires (in India, up to 8 years), without a link to a deleted account. Logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Your choices
- Download everything we hold about you, or delete your account, from your account page.
- Turn off alerts or the newsletter at any time; every email links to your settings.
- Email support@hardhatpath.com to correct something or ask any question. We reply within 2 business days.
Security
Sign-in uses one-time email codes, so there are no passwords to leak. Sessions are kept in secure cookies, every database table only lets you reach your own data, and all connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
Where data is processed
We operate from India. Our database is in the United States, and our providers may process data in other countries under their own safeguards.
Children
The site is for people 16 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
